First Presbyterian Church, founded in 1890, is a congregation of the Gulf South Presbytery of the Evangelical Presbyterian Church located on the Gulf Coast in Pascagoula, Mississippi. Happenings at First Presbyterian Church
Christ the King Sunday 11/23/14 (8:30 AM - 11:45 AM)
Christ the King is the title of Jesus based on several passages of scripture and is used by most Christians. It is observed on the last Sunday of the liturgical year, before a new year begins with the First Sunday of Advent.
The Rev. Matt Mitchell will preach at 8:30 and 10:45 a.m. services of worship.
Adult Choir Rehearsal 11/23/14 (10:15 AM - 10:30 AM)
Ric Sawyer, director of music, leads weekly rehearsals in the Choir Room.
Thanksgiving Dinner 11/23/14 (5:00 PM - 5:45 PM)
Join friends and family for the church's annual Thanksgiving Dinner. The church will provide turkey, ham, rolls, and tea. Members are asked to bring the following: A-K, vegetable/casserole; L-Z, dessert.
Thanksgiving Worship 11/23/14 (6:00 PM - 7:00 PM)
Join your church family in a special Service of Thanksgiving with the Adult Choir (under the direction of Ric Sawyer) and Praise Band (under the direction of Worship Leader, Marjorie Searcy). The Rev. Matt Mitchell will preach.

Able elders, current and inactive, are encouraged to sign up to serve communion on the calendar in the main hallway.
A church cookbook is being compiled in celebration of the church's 125th anniversary. Submissions of "tried & true" recipes by members and friends of the church should be received by January 31, 2015. The cookbook will be first available for sale at the celebration Sundays of April 19 & 26, 2015.
Prayer Group 11/24/14 (9:00 AM)
All are invited to participate in this weekly hour of prayer that meets on Mondays in the Conference Room.
11 a.m. Worship Returns! (11:00 AM - 12:00 PM)
After many years of worshipping at 10:30 and 10:45 a.m., the second service will return to 11 a.m. on Sunday, January 4, 2015.
