Happenings at First Presbyterian Church

Sunday Worship  8/24/14  (8:30 AM - 11:45 AM)
The Rev. Matt Mitchell continues his series from Galatians at 8:30 a.m. (contemporary) and 10:45 a.m. (traditional) services of worship.

Communion Guild  8/24/14  (9:30 AM)
The Communion Guild meets today in Trinity Hall.

Adult Choir Rehearsal  8/24/14  (10:00 AM - 10:30 AM)
Ric Sawyer, director of music, leads weekly rehearsals in the Choir Room.

Confirmation Class  8/24/14  (3:00 PM - 5:00 PM)
This is a class offered for our youth 7th grade and older. It is an introduction to the church, the sacraments, Reformed theology and many other things vital to our understanding of our faith. It is for members and visitors alike. This is the method we use for helping our youth understand what membership in the church looks like. If you are interested please contact Kim in the church office and sign your child up. Classes run through October 19th.

Prayer Group  8/25/14  (9:00 AM)
All are invited to participate in this weekly hour of prayer that meets on Mondays in the Conference Room.

Session Meeting  8/26/14  (6:00 PM)
The Session meets the 4th Tuesday of each month.

The youth group is looking for jobs to raise money for summer trips. Contact Jared at 219-2815 or

Domestic Violence Shelter  
Here are specific needs for our local domestic violence shelter, Adrienne's House: dishwasher detergent, bathroom cleansers, disinfectant spray, paper towels, OTC children's medications. There is a bin outside of Schneider Hall for donated items.

Elders Needed  8/28/14
Able elders, current and inactive, are encouraged to sign up to serve communion on the calendar in the main hallway. Elders are needed for October 5, Christmas Eve at 11 p.m. and January 11, 2015.
